Singapore Standards Compliance

Singapore Standards SS 98 and SS 513 govern safety helmets and safety footwear for clients operating in Singapore. Both are aligned with international equivalents (ISO 20345, EN 397), so products certified to these standards also satisfy requirements in many other markets.

Head Protection

SS 98:2005: Industrial Safety Helmets

Physical requirements include one piece shell, headband minimum 25mm width, ventilation 150 to 450mm². Performance tests cover shock absorption, penetration, and flame resistance.

Optional electrical insulation properties are available for electrical work environments. Helmets must be inspected weekly and replaced after significant impact or after 3 years of service.

Foot Protection

SS 513:2005: Safety Footwear

Identical with ISO 20345:2004. Classifies footwear into Class I (leather materials) and Class II (all rubber or all polymeric). Defines 5 boot designs (A to E) and 6 marking categories (SB, S1 to S5).

Mandatory tests include 200J impact, 15 kN compression, and fuel oil resistance. Batch testing requirements ensure ongoing quality for every consignment delivered to site.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I request a quote for bulk PPE from Xfinite Trading?
Submit an enquiry through our contact page with your product categories, quantities, and required standards. Pricing is quote-based and depends on the specifications and volume you need, so there are no fixed public prices. For ongoing programmes we offer contract pricing with scheduled deliveries and buffer stock management. Our team can also advise on product selection and hazard assessments.
Which countries does Xfinite Trading supply PPE to?
We supply PPE worldwide from Singapore, with clients across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. We serve construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, shipyard, and logistics operations. Because standards requirements vary by market, we help procurement and HSE teams match products to local regulatory needs. Contact us with your destination and timeline for delivery details.
Does your PPE meet Singapore Standards SS 98 and SS 513?
Yes. Our safety helmets meet SS 98:2005 and footwear meets SS 513:2005 (identical with ISO 20345). Both align with international equivalents like EN 397 and EN ISO 20345, so certified products also satisfy many other markets. Across the full range we supply EN, ANSI, and ISO compliant products with compliance certificates and accredited-laboratory test reports.
What cut-resistance levels do your safety gloves cover?
Our safety gloves span ANSI cut levels A1 to A9, certified to EN 388 and ANSI/ISEA 105. We also stock chemical-resistant gloves to EN 374 with permeation breakthrough data, and heat-resistant gloves to EN 407 rated for contact up to 500 degrees Celsius. Tell us your hazard profile and we will recommend the right cut, chemical, or heat protection.
What certification and documentation comes with your PPE?
Orders ship with the relevant compliance certificates and accredited-laboratory test reports, covering standards such as SS 98, SS 513, EN 397, EN ISO 20345, EN 388, and EN 149. We also provide product data sheets, SDS where applicable, respirator sizing and fit-testing guides, and regulatory guidance for Singapore (WSHA/MOM), Malaysia (DOSH), and other jurisdictions on request.
